Newly established Coslarp and martial arts event at Long Bridge Park, Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia. Saturday at high noon (12 PM to 4 PM), March 15 - will kick off as Roman / Greek Byzantine period, early Renaissance period theme. But come as you are and we'll do basic strikes in Arnis and foam stick fighting techniques. Equipment will be provided. First part with be cosplay and larp and second part will be Martial Arts practice with Kuntao Kali practitioner James Chen.

Risen Sun, a newly christen group, meets at Long Bridge Park, Crystal City, is a free to play and practice activity that combines coslarp and martial arts sports with D&D style adventure story role play. Theme this season is fantasy late Roman, Greek, and early Renaissance period combing Eurasian adventure. Risen Sun is a "freehold" park of Aera coslarp that combines common warrior, wizard, and wanderer (e.g. bard) play systems partially compatible with Dagorhir, Darkon, Belegarth, and other systems. Currently available in Virginia for 2025 season, if successful plan is to expand into neighboring regions and states.
